Louis (Louie) Smith has been with SAY Plastics since its founding in 1986. SAY Plastics was established in November 1986 by Louie’s father, William Smith, and William Yingling, both of whom had decades of experience in thermoforming plastics manufacturing. Louie became President and Chief Visionary upon his father’s passing. He now owns the company and is responsible for its current growth trajectory. Louie’s innovation and experience with metal to plastic conversion and product development has helped set the foundation for SAY’s successes.
Vice President and General Manager
As Partner and Vice President/General Manager, Ron brings over 40 years of business management experience to SAY Plastics. He has been with SAY for 17 years and manages all business affairs for the company. In addition to carrying out the President’s vision, Ron also plays a pivotal role in staffing development and marketing. Ron is a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania.
Vice President of Business Development
Erich Kaintz joined SAY Plastics in 2017 as Vice President of Business Development. He brings 18 years of diverse industry experience to our organization in the areas of thermoforming engineering, application evaluation, value analysis, materials, and tooling design and development. Prior to joining SAY, Erich held various roles in engineering, product development and sales development. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Millersville University, and Project Management Certification from Penn State University and the Project Management Institute (PMI)®.
With nearly 30 years of experience in the thermoforming industry, Brian has been with SAY Plastics since 2006 as our Senior Applications Engineer. His areas of expertise include thermoforming techniques, tooling, plastics fabrication, OEM components, conversion to plastics and new product development. Prior to joining SAY, Brian held sales engineering and product development roles in a broad range of markets including defense, aerospace, medical, marine, commercial and industrial. He is a member of the Society of Plastic Engineers (SPE) and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).
Executive Program Manager
Nathan brings over 20 years of plastics industry expertise to SAY. As Executive Program Manager/ClasSAY global, his role is to further develop and grow this SAY service group in North America and beyond. Nathan has over a decade of experience with the in-service damage (ISD) market, having worked with customers as far away as Brazil, China and Germany. Within the ISD market, he has lead international expansions and introduced innovative design applications that have improved overall produce performance and customer value. Within his tenure at SAY, he has introduced several new product designs and is working to develop SAY’s own PPE line of products, as well as an electro-static dissipative option for SAY’s standard ISD covers.
Joyce has been with SAY Plastics for over a decade and has over 25 years of experience working in accounting and as an office manager at manufacturing companies. In her accounting role at SAY, she has experience with purchasing, human resources, payroll, accounts receivable, general ledger and financial statements, environmental accounting and customer service. Joyce has a BS in Accounting from York College of Pennsylvania.
Purchasing / Customer Service
Tammy has been part of the SAY Plastics team for over 20 years and has served in many different roles for the company. She started out as a shop laborer and later moved to office manager’s assistant. Her current position is in Purchasing/Procurement and Customer Service. Tammy assists our sales engineers with things such as raw materials pricing and expediting product. She also manages outsource vendors, MRP stock items, and much more.
Dale is SAY Plastics’ Production Manager. He has been with SAY since 2010 and is responsible for supervising our personnel teams in Production, Shipping & Receiving, Maintenance, Tooling and CNC. Dale also champions our lean manufacturing initiatives. Before joining SAY, Dale held various management and supervisory positions in research & development and production for plastics and thermoforming companies. Dale also served as an aviation maintenance mechanic supervisor for the U.S. Army for 20 years.
